Deforestation

Forests cover 31% of the land area on our planet. Many animals also rely on forests. Eighty percent of the world's land-based species live in forests. Forests also play a critical role in mitigating climate change because they soak up carbon dioxide that would otherwise be free in the atmosphere and contribute to ongoing changes in climate patterns.

But forests around the world are under threat. The threats manifest themselves in the form of deforestation. The main cause of deforestation is agriculture (poorly planned infrastructure is emerging as a big threat too) and the main cause of forest degradation is illegal logging. Deforestation is a particular concern in tropical rain forests because these forests are home to much of the world’s biodiversity.

How are we eco friendly?

Sustainable Material

We work closely with our supplier to use wood from certified and recycled/reclaimed sources. You'll notice that most of our products is made of Parawood, also known as Rubberwood.

Rubberwood is one of the best renewable sources of wood! Typically when the latex is harvested from the tree, they would be felled and burned.

Investing a large amount of resources and time, we have pioneered a way to extract wood from the felled tree! This allows us to maximize the amount of wood that will be reused.

Packaging

We don't throw away boxes! All of our packing material is reused or recycled!
